Waiting Periods on All Packages The following conditions will apply:
- 6 Month waiting period for the following: (members and additional up to the age of 64 years)
- New Members
- Policy lapses and is then reinstated
- Cover is increased and then only for the additional amount
- 9 Month waiting period for the following: (members and additional 65-74 years)
- New members
- Policy lapses and is then reinstated
- Cover is increased and then only for the additional amount
- 12 Month waiting period for the following: (members and additional 75-85 years)
- New members
- Policy lapses and is then reinstated
- Unnatural Causes:
- Immediate Cover “provided the 1st premium is paid and the starting date is confirmed in writing”.
- Under Investigation:
- Immediate Cover “provided the 1st premium is paid, the starting date is confirmed in writing and the SAPS report clearly states that suicide is ruled out as the cause of death”.
- Suicide – 24 month waiting period
